Submission of Shareholders' Resolution on Dismissal and Appointment of Directors of PT KPBN. Based on the Decree No. 08/KPBN/PS/XII/2018, the Decision of the Shareholder is as follows:
1. Dismissing the names below as members of PT KPBN's Board of Directors with honor:
a. Sdr. Iman Bimantara Mu'min – As Director of Finance, HR, and General Affairs
b. Sdr. Ery Erwin Efendi – As Director of Operations
Who were appointed based on the Minutes of GMS PT KPBN regarding Dismissal and Appointment of PT KPBN's Board of Directors No. 05/KPBN/PS/XII/2015 dated 14 December 2015, effective from 1 January 2019, with gratitude for their contribution and thoughts during their tenure.
2. Appointing the names below as members of PT KPBN's Board of Directors:
a. Sdr. Heryanto Eko Purnomo – As Director of Finance and General Affairs
b. Sdr. Rahmat Akmal – As Director of Sales and Operations
3. The appointment of the Board of Directors as referred to in number 3, with the provision that Sdr. Heryanto Eko Purnomo is appointed as Director of Finance and General Affairs of PT KPBN as of 1 January 2019 and Sdr. Rahmat Akmal is appointed as Director of Sales and Operations of PT KPBN as of 1 February 2019.

PT KPBN's 9th Anniversary Thanksgiving. The event was attended by PTPN III (Persero) Plantation Holding President Director, Dolly P Pulungan, Marketing Director I Kadek Kertha Laksana, Board of Commissioners, Board of Directors, and KPBN employees. All participants at the event wore batik-themed attire. The event was opened by the MC, followed by a speech from PT KPBN President Director, Edward S. Ginting. In his speech, Edo stated that `In the future, PT KPBN will transform further, innovate, and open up new businesses besides being in plantation community marketing.` Another highly anticipated moment was when the President Director of Perkebunan PTPN III (Persero) Holding, for the first time, gave his direction and hopes for PT KPBN. One of his hopes was to `have PT KPBN continuously innovate, remain optimistic in facing every challenge, and be competitive in the global market. The achievements to date are expected to not only be maintained but also enhanced,` said Dolly. `The greatest challenge at PT KPBN's 9th anniversary will be our ability to adapt to changes occurring. The shift in working methods toward technology-based millennials is a real challenge that must be faced. In the future, PT KPBN must achieve maximum success and excel as a BUMN subsidiary for plantation commodities that can compete with other companies,` added Dolly in his speech. Minister of Commerce, Enggartiasto Lukita, who accompanied the meeting between the two partners, said that Nano Fuel has a technology that requires fuel from palm oil Indonesia, in this case B20.

“I convey that we already use B20 and the government has prepared steps to take for B30 and there are some who are planning to even jump further than that. But we start with B20, 36 thousand (kiloliters) as a start,” said Enggar after the meeting in the VVIP Lounge of ICE BSD Tangerang, Banten, on Sunday (October 28).

Enggar further said that at this meeting the Japanese party also intended to ensure Indonesia's readiness regarding the sustainability of exports in the future.

Of course, they wanted to ask a few things, first regarding sustainability, because if we are to develop this on a large scale they were asking whether we would be ready to export,” Enggar added.

In addition to that, Enggar also assured the Japanese party that price fluctuations would not be an issue.

Regarding price, the price is definitely more secure compared to other gases because that has higher fluctuations. We are the largest producer of palm oil in the world. And once more, this is more friendly,” Enggar said.

4 Companies Join Forces to Export Biomass Fuel Products to Japan

4 Companies Join Forces to Export Biomass Fuel Products to Japan. This four-way cooperation was realized with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that was signed on the final day of Trade Expo Indonesia 2018, Sunday (28/10), and witnessed by the Ministry of Trade's Director General of Export Development Arlinda, Trade Attache of the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) of Tokyo Faried Rachman, and the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Enggartiasto Lukita. "We appreciate this four-way cooperation, and the Indonesian government supports the export of palm oil-based liquid fuels to Japan," the Trade Minister said in a statement received by the editorial staff on Monday (29/10).
Enggartiasto also encouraged Nanofuel Co. Ltd to build a production facility in Indonesia, since in the future Indonesia will implement B30 to B100 for the utilization of generators, vehicles, and jet fuel.
In an audience with the Trade Minister, the President and CEO of Nanofuel Co. Ltd Takehiko Matsumura said that besides buying palm oil-based liquid fuel from Indonesia, Nanofuel wants to contribute to the production of palm oil-based liquid fuel for Indonesia's domestic needs.
Nanofuel Co. Ltd. will develop Nano Bio Fuel technology by utilizing a variety of palm oil-based derivative products, including CPO, PAO, Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD), and Refined Bleached Deodorized (RBD) Stearin into liquid fuel. Nano Bio Fuel can make palm oil-based liquid fuel mixed with 25 percent water that has been reduced in size from 198 ppm to 6 ppm so that combustion is more efficient. The development of this technology is also supported by the Japanese government through the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
The President Director of PT Awina International Ananda Setiyo Ivannanto and the Senior Managing Director of AAI Co. Ltd. Yuukichi Hirayama in an audience with the Trade Minister expressed their seriousness in using waste from palm oil to turn into fuel and to export it to Japan. Awina International and AAI Co. Ltd. have conducted an MOU in 2017 in Japan with JAG Energy and PT Bakrie Brothers TBk to process empty oil palm bunches with semicarbonization into fuel for power plants in Japan.
The President Director of PT KPBN Edward S. Ginting supports the export of palm oil-based liquid fuel products to Nanofuel. For the provision of palm oil sources, not only from state-owned palm oil companies, but also from private mills. "Including working towards a mutually beneficial commercial scheme that can be agreed upon by all related parties for long-term contracts and price stability," he said.
The government of Japan is aggressive in developing renewable energy to replace fossil and nuclear energy. Biomass energy has become a renewable energy that is relied upon by the government of Japan because it can become a supplier of electricity for base loads in a stable manner.
According to data from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, in 2030 Japan will build 24,000 MW of biomass power plants, where 20,000 megawatts (MW) will replace nuclear power plants and 4,000 MW will be new biomass power plants. At least 4 million tons worth US$1.46 billion, or 10 percent of these new power plants will utilize palm oil-based liquid fuel.
