Antara CEO: State Budget brings positive realism to economy. Our state budget is much more realistic which its target provides a more positive outlook, than making sweet promises, it is better to be simple but in 2017 the result is that the Indonesian economy get much better, said the Director who is familiarly called Dimas in the 2016 IBD Expo discussion in Jakarta, Friday (9/9) night.Dimas said that the targeted economic growth of 5.1 percent in the 2017 state budget was more realistic and that figure was considered quite good when viewed from the development of the East Asian and Pacific economies.According to him, the economic growth in Indonesia is still running quite well like reported by the World Bank, that the Asian region economy grew around 6.3 percent including China or 4.8 percent not including China.However, the economic movement of China always has an impact on the domestic economy because every 1 percent decline in Chinas economy, will have a 0.3 to 0.4 percent negative impact on the Indonesian economy.Aside from the more realistic state budget, Dimas explained that the reshuffle of the ministries for economics which was carried out by President Joko Widodo also gave a positive influence to the 2017 economic outlook.He also argues that the simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) in 2017 also helped to grow the regional economy.There will be 101 simultaneous regional head elections comprising of 7 provinces, 76 regencies and 18 cities so that in one way or another it will have an impact especially on the regional economies. We see that there will be an increase in the growth of the consumption components, said Dimas.He added that the development of the Indonesian economy is supported by the infrastructure projects being pursued by the government and the contribution of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).In the Indonesia Busines Development Expo 2016 open exhibition that will be ongoing until 11 September, the public is expected to be more aware of business actors and the various activities and potential of the State Owned Enterprises.

Heads of State-Owned Enterprises Given a Lecture by Vice President JK Today Regarding Corporate Governance. This grand event was led by the State-Owned Enterprises Minister (BUMN) and was attended by the management of all state-owned and foreign state-owned companies.
In this event, the BUMN Ministry invited foreign companies to provide advice and training to the management of all state-owned companies for better business management.
`Large companies with proper management are needed,` said Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta, Thursday (8/9/2016). 
According to Kalla, proper management of state-owned enterprises could fulfill the aspiration of state-owned companies as the vanguard of economic sustainability in a country.  `State-owned companies should play a strategic role in advancing the economy of the country,` he said.
The Executive Committee Chairman of IBD Expo 2016, Hempi N Prajudi, previously stated that this grand event would be attended by foreign state-owned companies such as Temasek, Chinese SOEs, and other foreign SOEs to conduct sharing sessions on business management.
The presence of foreign SOEs is expected to introduce inputs for all state-owned companies. `Sharing sessions with foreign SOEs will also help us stay motivated, especially regarding the learning process of holding establishment,` Hempi said.
The IBD Expo also featured several products, innovations, and flagship products of state-owned companies, such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, the fast train mock-up, PT Dirgantara Indonesia's flight simulator, firearms and tanks of PT Pindad, and ships from PT PAL.
The IBD Expo 2016 was the first event held by four state-owned companies within the National Publishing and News Corporation (NPNC) cluster, comprising PT Balai Pustaka, Perum LKBN Antara, Perum PNRI, and Perum PFN.
The purpose of this event was to provide the public an insight into the performance development and role of state-owned companies through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (SOEs Serve the Country) program, as well as to demonstrate the commitment of state-owned companies in developing and empowering the underdeveloped, leading, and outermost regions.
`This event is intended to provide a comprehensive overview to the public because so far, the public might not be aware of what state-owned companies are and what their performance is like,` he said.

BPJS KESEHATAN: New Method, Applies Simultaneous Payments for One Family of Participants. The implemented system is in the homeland, including in Makassar.
The head of BPJS Kesehatan Cabang Utama Makassar, dr. Elsa Novelia said that the payment system is quite done through the virtual account (VA) collectively which refers to the Family Card (Kartu Keluarga/KK) so that it would directly cover all family members who are registered in the membership.
`This system has been valid since September 2016, in which only one family VA is enough to make the payment, “she said in official exposure in Makassar, Tuesday (September 6, 2016).
She gave an example, if in one family there are four members, then one of the family members makes the payment, then the amount that must be paid is the accumulation of four people at once in one transaction.
So far, BPJS Kesehatan participants pay their contributions one by one. The new system requires participants and family members who are registered to pay contributions collectively with one administration fee.
`Currently, we are intensifying the socialization related to the changes to this VA system in the KCU Makassar working area, we hope JKN participants will be able to understand and make adjustments,` she said.

SEPTEMBER 6 CPO PRICE: Skyrocketing To Its Highest Level, What's Driving the Demand. November 2016 CPO futures, the most active contract on Bursa Malaysia, rose 0.34% or 9 points to RM2,653 a ton at 09:56 a.m. Jakarta time.
The price of palm oil earlier opened up 0.23% or 6 points at RM2,650 a ton. The price of palm oil this morning rose to its highest level after touching RM2,658 on March 29.
On Monday (5/9/2016), the price of November CPO futures closed up by 1.89% or 49 points to RM2,644 a ton.
According to a survey by the CIMB Futures team, as quoted by Bloomberg yesterday, Malaysia's palm oil stocks are predicted to fall by 18% (m-o-m) to 1.45 million tons at the end of August.
Meanwhile, the increase in monthly fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production (m-o-m) by 5.4% is below the average historical rate in August of 6.4% over the past five years, partly because of the continuing impact of El Nino. 
Year-on-year (y-o-y), CPO production is estimated to fall by 19% in August as the El Nino effect hits FFB yields. 
The prediction of lower stocks in August is seen as positive for CPO prices, although this is also offset by rising production prospects for the following months.
On the other hand, the Malaysian ringgit exchange rate was seen to weaken by 0.18% to 4.0813 against the US dollar, after opening higher at 4.0725.

`We have been making efforts to provide comfortable services for users, but we will continue to improve them,` Agus added.
Agus said that the company is currently developing supporting facilities around Terminal 3 such as a shelter for public buses Damri.
According to Agus, the issue of water puddles occurring in Terminal 3 when it first began to operate did not significantly affect the comfort of passengers.

Creating Resilient Oil Palm Growers at Asian Agri’s Training Center. But, there was something unusual amid the scorching heat of Riau today. In Mekar Jaya, a village in Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau, a group of young people in white and brown uniforms were seen walking together enthusiastically to an oil palm plantation area. While walking, the young people asked questions actively to the mentor and tried to answer various questions directed at them. Consisting of 100 talented young people, they are the new batch that will undergo training at the APRIL Asian Agri Learning Institute (AAALI), a top training center in the country for the plantation sector, particularly oil palm. These potential young people were selected from various universities in Indonesia based on their abilities and intelligence. There are not many oil palm training institutions (non-universities) that accommodate the abilities of talented young people in the plantation sector, especially oil palm, in this country. Although the average planting age of oil palm has reached 30 years, the level of knowledge and abilities of Indonesian palm oil farmers and plantation owners is not as mature as the age of the trees there, when compared to the productive age of humans. Realizing this, AAALI aims to facilitate the nation's sons and daughters to obtain additional guidance and knowledge related to the oil palm industry, so that they are more familiar with this prima donna plant of Indonesia. Of course, those who have studied at this training center are aware that the training institution at AAALI is the best place for young plantation owners who want to pursue a career in an industry that supports the economy of this country with 250 million people to develop and learn. Every year, AAALI always opens registration for new participants, divided into three groups. Each group consists of about 100 people. The cadets, the name for AAALI training participants, will be given various training for 6 months. Not only training, the participants will also be given salaries every month, adjusted to the average minimum wage in each province. The salaries will increase to three times the amount if the participants are accepted as permanent employees at Asian Agri. As employees at Asian Agri, they will carry out the tasks and responsibilities of managing plants, and handling operational aspects in the company. Participants who will join will also play a role in the upstream to downstream oil palm management process. They will also be introduced to and be responsible for the processing process using machines, and even accommodation affairs. There are many companies who have tried to recruit AAALI graduates with offers of very high salaries so that they will move to their company. “I am very proud to be selected to participate in this training, and I hope that I can join Asian Agri as an employee when I finish this training,` said Muhammad Yusuf, a graduate of the agricultural engineering program from the University of North Sumatra, Medan. “My senior who is a graduate from AAALI told me that when I graduate later, my standard of living will increase. There will be so many companies that will try to attract us with offers of very high salaries,` he continued. Sufryiadi, supervisor of AAALI acknowledges the statement. He explains that the image of the AAALI training institution is indeed very well-known in the eyes of oil palm companies. This has also been passed on to the AAALI graduates, which have been targeted by so many companies. He admits that he was offered by many companies to move and join them. Not only that, Sufryiadi was also offered a salary much greater than what he was receiving at that time. “Other plantation companies see us, the graduates, as human resources with qualified abilities, with very good attitudes and mindsets,` he said. The AAALI training institution was founded in 2002. Up to now, AAALI has successfully produced more than 2200 top graduates that are spread throughout various industries in Indonesia. Yusuf comes from a simple family in Mandailing Natal in North Sumatra and explained his family situation, where his father is now too old to work, and his family now depends on the income of his mother who sells food near a market in his hometown. `I want to make my parents proud of me,` he said. Yusuf also expressed his desire to be able to replace his mother's role as the breadwinner of the family someday. `Now, I can already help my family with the salary that I receive now,` said Yusuf. In line with Yusuf's story, Sufryiadi stated that the good image that AAALI has as the best plantation training institution in Indonesia can be a magnet for new graduates, particularly new graduates from top universities in the provinces of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, and also Sulawesi like Yusuf, to join. “We have the best graduates right now from all over Indonesia, who are ready to learn and contribute, and return it for the progress and development of the country,` said Sufryiadi.
