Three Sectors Are Able To Boost Economy. The sectors of agriculture, manufacturing, and trade are expected to be the three main sectors contributing to the growth of Indonesia's economy next year.Senior Deputy Governor of BI Mirza Adityaswara stated that these three sectors are improving and are expected to contribute around 65-70% to Indonesia's economic growth next year. `So if in 2017 we mention that economic growth could be slightly above 5%, it seems quite reasonable,` he said at the Bank Indonesia Building, Thamrin, Jakarta, on Monday (September 12).`If we look at Indonesia's economy sector by sector, there are three main sectors, which are manufacturing, agriculture, and trade. Manufacturing is around 22-24%, agriculture is about 20%, and trade is about 22%. So the three sectors are already around 65 to 70% of (the economy) in Indonesia,` he added.The contribution of the agricultural sector is supported by the increase in prices of various plantation commodities, such as palm oil and rubber, as well as the increase in the harvest of rice crops. `Now the prices of plantation commodities have started increasing. Even though it is not significant, if we look at January until now, what we can say is that the price of palm oil has increased by around 20%,` Mirza explained.He mentioned that the price of rubber has also increased by 20%. Therefore, next year, the price of agricultural commodities is expected to improve and be more stable compared to this year.Meanwhile for manufacturing, Mirza said, this sector is still very much influenced by the stability of the Rupiah exchange rate against the US Dollar. As the manufacturing industry sector relies heavily on imported raw materials. `If yesterday the sector had grown by more than 4% of GDP in the first and second quarters, this was indeed largely helped by the rate being more stable. So our hope is that the stability of the rate remains in the second half of 2016 and in 2017. Well, this will help the growth of the manufacturing sector,` he added.The same thing also applies to the trade sector, which also relies on the stability of the rate, considering there is also an imported component in trade. Citing Bloomberg on Monday (12/9/2016), China is Starbucks’ fastest growing market. Starbucks opens at least 500 outlets per year in the Middle Kingdom in order to meet their target of 3,400 outlets by 2019.
Starbucks is now eyeing China as a growth momentum, with a potential tea business of 63.2 billion yuan or 9.5 billion US Dollars, or 124.4 trillion Rupiah. This figure is 10 times higher than the market price for coffee in China.
In addition, Starbucks’ newest tea line is also in line with the increasing consumer demand in China for products that promote a healthy lifestyle. Today, the trend towards a healthier lifestyle is also growing very quickly throughout Asia.
Matthew Crabbe, head of research for Mintel Group Ltd's Asia Pacific, said that there was a strong identity regarding tea in Asia and that it was also in line with Asia's views on maintaining health.
`It goes hand-in-hand with prevention rather than cure, so tea-based products tend to enjoy quite strong growth,” he said.
For your information, Starbucks acquired Teavana in 2012. Soon after, Starbucks then stated that their tea product line was well received in their outlets in the US.
US consumers are also currently seeking out healthy food and drink options, which has driven Starbucks’ tea business to grow by 12 percent and sales of iced tea to increase by 29 percent in 2015.
Whereas in Asia, drinking tea is a habit that has been growing and developing for thousands of years.
In this way, Starbucks must present tea drinks that combine luxury and uniqueness that will attract consumer interest.
`Of course tea has a very mature market in Asia, it’s been happening for thousands of years and we’ve seen the likes of bubble tea being very popular with the younger consumer in Asia in recent years,” Crabbe said.
`But as they get older they’re looking for something a bit more premium and that’s where Teavana fits.”

Our state budget is much more realistic which its target provides a more positive outlook, than making sweet promises, it is better to be simple but in 2017 the result is that the Indonesian economy get much better, said the Director who is familiarly called Dimas in the 2016 IBD Expo discussion in Jakarta, Friday (9/9) night.Dimas said that the targeted economic growth of 5.1 percent in the 2017 state budget was more realistic and that figure was considered quite good when viewed from the development of the East Asian and Pacific economies.According to him, the economic growth in Indonesia is still running quite well like reported by the World Bank, that the Asian region economy grew around 6.3 percent including China or 4.8 percent not including China.However, the economic movement of China always has an impact on the domestic economy because every 1 percent decline in Chinas economy, will have a 0.3 to 0.4 percent negative impact on the Indonesian economy.Aside from the more realistic state budget, Dimas explained that the reshuffle of the ministries for economics which was carried out by President Joko Widodo also gave a positive influence to the 2017 economic outlook.He also argues that the simultaneous regional head elections (Pilkada) in 2017 also helped to grow the regional economy.There will be 101 simultaneous regional head elections comprising of 7 provinces, 76 regencies and 18 cities so that in one way or another it will have an impact especially on the regional economies. We see that there will be an increase in the growth of the consumption components, said Dimas.He added that the development of the Indonesian economy is supported by the infrastructure projects being pursued by the government and the contribution of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).In the Indonesia Busines Development Expo 2016 open exhibition that will be ongoing until 11 September, the public is expected to be more aware of business actors and the various activities and potential of the State Owned Enterprises.

Heads of State-Owned Enterprises Given a Lecture by Vice President JK Today Regarding Corporate Governance. This grand event was led by the State-Owned Enterprises Minister (BUMN) and was attended by the management of all state-owned and foreign state-owned companies.
In this event, the BUMN Ministry invited foreign companies to provide advice and training to the management of all state-owned companies for better business management.
`Large companies with proper management are needed,` said Jusuf Kalla in Jakarta, Thursday (8/9/2016). 
According to Kalla, proper management of state-owned enterprises could fulfill the aspiration of state-owned companies as the vanguard of economic sustainability in a country.  `State-owned companies should play a strategic role in advancing the economy of the country,` he said.
The Executive Committee Chairman of IBD Expo 2016, Hempi N Prajudi, previously stated that this grand event would be attended by foreign state-owned companies such as Temasek, Chinese SOEs, and other foreign SOEs to conduct sharing sessions on business management.
The presence of foreign SOEs is expected to introduce inputs for all state-owned companies. `Sharing sessions with foreign SOEs will also help us stay motivated, especially regarding the learning process of holding establishment,` Hempi said.
The IBD Expo also featured several products, innovations, and flagship products of state-owned companies, such as the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed train, the fast train mock-up, PT Dirgantara Indonesia's flight simulator, firearms and tanks of PT Pindad, and ships from PT PAL.
The IBD Expo 2016 was the first event held by four state-owned companies within the National Publishing and News Corporation (NPNC) cluster, comprising PT Balai Pustaka, Perum LKBN Antara, Perum PNRI, and Perum PFN.
The purpose of this event was to provide the public an insight into the performance development and role of state-owned companies through the BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (SOEs Serve the Country) program, as well as to demonstrate the commitment of state-owned companies in developing and empowering the underdeveloped, leading, and outermost regions.
`This event is intended to provide a comprehensive overview to the public because so far, the public might not be aware of what state-owned companies are and what their performance is like,` he said.

BPJS KESEHATAN: New Method, Applies Simultaneous Payments for One Family of Participants. The implemented system is in the homeland, including in Makassar.
The head of BPJS Kesehatan Cabang Utama Makassar, dr. Elsa Novelia said that the payment system is quite done through the virtual account (VA) collectively which refers to the Family Card (Kartu Keluarga/KK) so that it would directly cover all family members who are registered in the membership.
`This system has been valid since September 2016, in which only one family VA is enough to make the payment, “she said in official exposure in Makassar, Tuesday (September 6, 2016).
She gave an example, if in one family there are four members, then one of the family members makes the payment, then the amount that must be paid is the accumulation of four people at once in one transaction.
So far, BPJS Kesehatan participants pay their contributions one by one. The new system requires participants and family members who are registered to pay contributions collectively with one administration fee.
`Currently, we are intensifying the socialization related to the changes to this VA system in the KCU Makassar working area, we hope JKN participants will be able to understand and make adjustments,` she said.
