Jakarta – PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (PT KPBN) held its Inaugural Tea Auction of 2026 at the PT KPBN Headquarters, Jl. Cut Meutia No. 11, Menteng, Jakarta, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. This event is part of KPBN's commitment to strengthening the national tea commodity trade ecosystem through collaboration with business partners.
The 2026 Inaugural Tea Auction was led by PT KPBN's Exchange and Business Development Division and was attended by business partners, including both producers and buyers. The auction was conducted smoothly with transparent and orderly auction mechanisms, receiving a positive response from participants.
At the 2026 Inaugural Tea Auction, the total volume of Black Tea offered amounted to 309,240 kg, comprising 282,760 kg of orthodox tea and 26,480 kg of CTC tea. These teas were produced by six PTPN Regional units: PTPN I Regional 2, PTPN I Regional 3, PTPN I Regional 5, PTPN I Regional 7, PTPN IV Regional 2, and PTPN IV Regional 4.
Of the total volume offered, 59% of the tea was successfully sold, amounting to 182,600 kg, with a transaction value of IDR 3,792,988,604 or equivalent to USD 225,908. The average selling price was recorded at IDR 20,772 per kilogram or USD 1.24 per kilogram.
Through this Tea Auction, PT KPBN continues to foster synergy and strategic collaboration with business partners to enhance the competitiveness of the national tea industry. This event serves not only as a means for trade transactions but also as a platform for market development and strengthening trust among industry stakeholders.
Going forward, PT KPBN hopes that the Tea Auction can continue to be held sustainably as an important instrument in supporting the growth of a more competitive and sustainable Indonesian tea industry, both in domestic and international markets.
